Eternal Creation was started by Australia Designer Frances Carrington, Eternal Creation is dedicated to improving the lives of political refugree by providing jobs, training, health care and accommocation. Eternal Creation runs it's own design and production workshop, the Himalaya Tailoring Centre, located in in the Indian Himalyayas. Eternal Creation employs over 70 staff, spanning Tibetan, Nepalese and Indian cultures and encompassing Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim faiths. Eternal Creation is the largest private employer in the area. They strive to produce the highest quality garments for a competitive market, while maintaining good working conditions, fair pay and high employee morale. The tailors themselves set the per piece pay rates, based on how long each piece takes to stitch, and how many they feel they can make per day. The costings, and hence the retail prices for the goods, are based on these piece rates, rather than allowing a predetermined retail price to dictate the tailors pay. The tailors receive good pay, paid public holidays and health benefits and both men and women get paid maternity leave plus bonus. Eternal Creation also operates a creche on site for the talioring staff's children, supplying qualifed creche manager and faciliies.
We appreciate and support the ethical position of Eternal Creation and strive to help them continue their positive work by stocking their brand of gorgeous handmade baby clothing.
